Erbil represents as the most important city in the north of Iraq and Kurdistan because of many factors such as security, economic development, political situations, geographical placement, etc. It is very interesting to know the percentage of unemployment for general and private sectors according to some socio-demographic factors. Depending on recent survey conducted by SOSS, approximately 3.2% of Erbil citizen are unemployed. This percentage is an excellent rate for unemployment in developed countries. The reason of low percentage of unemployment is due to development of international trades, huge investment in big residential projects, increasing the amount of tourists, increasing the number of foreign businesses, etc.
